A tourist attraction in the Garden City of Ghana specifically the Manhyia Palace is the World Peace Bell a large bell monument rung on special occasions symbolizing the hope of world peace.

Situated in sixteen (16) countries with locations like Newport, Kentucky, in the US, the peace bell was brought to light in Ghana by the World Peace Bell Association on April 26th in the year 2019 at the residence of the Ashanti King called Manhyia Palace.

The bell was erected and unveiled at the Manhyia Palace in the Ashanti Region in the honor of United Nations (UN) Secretary General, the late Kofi Annan, who served as the seventh Secretary General of the United Nations in 1997 between 2006.

The World Peace Bell Association is an association from Japan that endeavors to bring issues to light of the World peace movement by projecting and introducing Japanese sanctuary chimes in areas all over the continent.

The spot where the bell has been erected is a tourist attraction in the Kumasi when visitors are on cultural exploration at the Manhyia Palace. Beneath the bell is a beautiful shed appreciating the various Adinkra symbols which depict the rich Ghanaian Akan culture.
