Generally, non-immigrant visas are issued for a stay duration of 6 months single entry but I am going to show you how to acquire a 5 year multiple entry into the United States of America.
A non-immigrant visa is required to travel to do short term business in the Sates, non-professional sporting activities, medical treatment and all other tourism and pleasure related activities in the USA.
There are about 38 countries which do not require a visa to travel to the United States but with countries which do not have a visa free agreement with the USA this is how you can apply to get a multiple entry into the United States of America for a period of 5 years.
Like I said earlier, the non-immigrant visa which is for applicants from a foreign country with the intention of traveling to the states for the purpose of tourism and short stay within the period of 6 month can apply for B category visa.
The category B visa is further divided into B1 and B2 with each having its requirements, activities and set of rules pertaining to the travelers stay in the States.
The B1 visa being a sub category of the B category visa under the non-immigrant visa, is a type of visa issued to an applicant for the purpose of traveling to the United States to attend business meetings, contract negotiations, conferences, meeting business partners and all business related activities.
B2 visa is also issued under the condition of traveling for tourism, medical treatment, participating in sports which the athlete is not getting paid, going for vacation and all social events in the United States.
The applicant will have to get a sponsor in the United States who will issue an invitation letter stating the purpose of invite. The applicant will then gather all supporting documents and make an online application of non-immigrant visa application form also called DS 160.
A case number will be given to the applicant upon successful completion of the form which will be required in payment of the visa fees. After paying for the visa fees, an appointment is made to attend for interview at the Embassy in the applicant’s home country.
The applicant after successfully going through the processes at the consular section of the embassy will then be given the final decision on their applicant. A congratulatory message will be given to the successful applicants who excel in the interview and a 5 year visa approved in their passport.
