New Immigration Policy For International Students In UK

The United Kingdom Home Office has introduced a new immigration policy for international students studying in the U.K which would enable them work in the U.K after graduating.

 Effective this July, students upon graduation will be able to work or look for skilled level work immediately after graduating from University in the United Kingdom. Degree holders can work for a year of two and PhD holders also qualifying for three years employment after graduation in the U.K.

 The post study work visa was implemented on 2020 by Priti Patel the Secretary of the Home Office for the United Kingdom. This new policy will enable students taking their courses off campus and online due to the impact of covid-19 pandemic to be in the United Kingdom for a post working visa. The Home office further mentioned that applicants who started their studies in autumn 2020 have until September 2021 to be in the U.K as students to be eligible for this new policy.

All the covid-19 protocols will be observed while traveling to the United Kingdom and a mandatory two weeks of self-isolation or quarantine in a hotel to help curb the spread of the virus.
