We understand that these requirements can change frequently, and it can be challenging to keep up with the latest updates. All passengers travelling to Angola are required to have a negative / ‘not detected’ result from a pre-departure COVID-19 test. The following tests are accepted: PCR-RT test taken within 72 hours of the time of boarding of your flight, and a professionally administered antigen test taken within 24 hours of boarding. Home antigen tests are not accepted.

It is crucial to note that some airlines may only accept a PCR-RT test. Therefore, passengers should confirm this with their airline ahead of their travel date to avoid any inconvenience.

Advance Passenger Information Form (FRV Form)

All passengers are required to complete an Advance Passenger Information form (FRV Form). Passengers are asked to submit the form online 72 hours before entry to Angola, where possible. However, the form is also available in paper format at some airports, including Lisbon airport.

It is vital to ensure that you complete the form accurately and submit it within the stipulated time to avoid any delays or complications during your travel to Angola.

Rapid COVID-19 Test and Vaccination Certificate

All arriving passengers are required to take a rapid COVID-19 test immediately on disembarking the plane. This test is currently free of charge. Those receiving a negative result and who hold a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate (EU Digital Covid Certificates are accepted) will be allowed entry.

Passengers without a vaccination certificate, or who test positive, are required to undertake a mandatory 7-day quarantine. It is, therefore, necessary to ensure that you have a valid vaccination certificate or be prepared to undergo quarantine upon arrival in Angola.

Negative COVID-19 Test for Departing Passengers

Passengers are required to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 test completed 24 hours before departing Angola if the airline, transit destination, or final destination requires it. It is essential to keep yourself informed of the requirements of your airline, transit, or final destination to avoid any inconvenience or last-minute surprises.

General Travel Advice

Travelling during the pandemic can be challenging, and it is essential to take all necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy.
