The most popular Jumbo floating restaurant which belongs to Hong Kong has sunk in China’s sea at the south.

The Jumbo is one of the attractions in Hong Kong which attracts many tourists every year. It boasts of a serene environment for both native tourists and international tourists. Being on the sea, it provides all the needed environment for a better experience during summer holidays. But it has recently sunk into the South China Sea.

The people of Hong Kong complained that, the tourist attraction sunk because it was taken from its former location on Hong Kong. They accused the Chinese government of carelessness and an intention to destroy the lucrative ship of Hong Kong.

They further explained that, the ship was struggling with many financial difficulties but it was in operation. But the Chinese government removed it from its abode just to bring the operations of the ship to a sudden halt. Sources known to us indicate that, the ship got sunk on Sunday close to the Parcel Islands.

This incidence happened just after some of the vital machines began giving faults to engineers of the ship and the ship also began to taken in water which was alarming to all those on board at the time. The spokesperson for the ship enumerated that, the depth of the water entering the ship was over 1,000 meters. This alarming phenomenon made it difficult for the engineers to enforce salvage mechanisms to prevent the ship from sinking.

The spokesperson further stressed that, they have been saddened by the sinking of the cruise ship. This is because, it provided source of revenue to all those that worked in the ship. Also, the company pays tax to the central government which was used to develop the country. But luckily, no crew member or passenger got injured as a result of the sinking of the cruise ship popularly called the Jumbo.

He also said that, it was recently that engineer was hired to access the functionality or otherwise of the cruise ship. And they found no fault with. Little did they know the cruise ship will sink when it is taken from the shores of Hong Kong.

The spokesperson for Jumbo ship explained that, the cruise ship halted it operations in 2019 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The closure of the cruise ship led to low revenues for the cruise ship and all the citizens and nationals in that enclave. He added that, the ship was making a sum 100 million Hong Kong dollars which is equivalent to $12.7 annually.

The company responsible for operations and management of the vessel, Melco International Development made it known that, the loss of revenue has made the running and management of the cruise ship very difficult. This is because, there are many people who must be paid for their services in the cruise ship.

The spokesperson announced that, due to the company’s inability to pay workers and finance its operations, it is considering partly owning the vessel in order for the cruise ship not to collapse totally. They reached out with many potential partners to assist in that regard but due to the chunk of arrears all those companies are refusing the offer.

It is a well-known fact that, the cruise ship has featured in most popular movies that have plied the screens of mankind. Some of these movies are Contagion by Stephen Soderberg. These movies mimicked what happened in 2019 when the whole world began to be plaque with a coronavirus pandemic.

The cruise ship brought many people to Hong Kong. Some of the prominent people who visited the cruise ship are Queen Elizabeth 11 and Tom Cruise. These people came with a flood of people and increase the yearly revenue of the cruise ship. When the people of Hong Kong look back at the many benefits they got from the ship, they could do nothing but remind themselves of the fond memories they had with the cruise ship.

Most of these residents enjoyed the Jumbo from their childhood, hence the unavailability of the ship will mean lack of happiness and cheerfulness in the lives of the residents.
